Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with PDF.chat. Here is exactly how refunds work on subscriptions and page packs.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Every paid subscription plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with PDF.chat for any reason, contact us within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment in full. The guarantee applies to your first subscription charge so you can try the Service risk-free.

2. Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically on your billing date. You can cancel at any time from your account page to stop future renewals. After your first billing period, renewal charges are generally non-refundable, but you keep access to your plan features until the end of the period you have already paid for. If a renewal charged unexpectedly, contact us right away and we will make it right.

3. Page Packs

One-time page packs are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the pages remain substantially unused. Once a significant portion of a pack has been used to process documents, that purchase is considered consumed and is no longer refundable. Purchased pages never expire, so there is no rush to use them.

4. How Pages Work

PDF.chat is metered in pages. A few things worth knowing:

  • Pages are deducted based on the number of pages processed and the engine tier used
  • Failed jobs never consume pages, so you are only charged for successful results
  • Purchased pages never expire and are preserved if you cancel a subscription
  • Free trial and free monthly pages are not eligible for cash refunds

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, visit our contact page and include the email address on your account and the transaction or receipt details. We review every request individually and aim to respond within two business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through our payment processor, Stripe, and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

6. Exceptions

We reserve the right to decline refunds in cases of fraud, abuse, repeated refund requests, or violations of our Terms of Service. AI answers and document processing are probabilistic and output may contain errors on low-quality scans, handwriting, or complex layouts; this expected variability is not on its own grounds for a refund of consumed pages, though we are always glad to help you get better results.
